Milwaukee Electric Tool supervisor receives Patriot Award

  • Milwaukee Electric Tool supervisor receives Patriot Award

HAYWARD, Calif. – Supervisor Jeremy Apodaca from Milwaukee Electric Tool was presented with a Patriot Award at a Boss Lift in Stockton Aug. 22 by Rob Peterson, a volunteer for the California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in recognition of extraordinary support of their employee.

Apodaca was nominated for being highly supportive of the California Army National Guard Chief Warrant Officer 2 Brady Hlebain.

“My manager Jeremy Apodaca, and my employer, Milwaukee Tool, have been more than accommodating to my Army career. Even though I was away at Flight School for 16 months, upon my return, I was given a promotion. Jeremy has always supported me 100 percent during times I’ve had to leave for military responsibilities.”

The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.

“Supportive employers, like Jeremy Apodaca, are vital to the success of our mission and the defense of this nation,” said James Combs, California ESGR state chair. “Our Guard and Reserve members could not perform their military duty without knowing their civilian employer supports them 100 percent.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
