LINCOLN, Neb. – Military One Source Regional Manager Lisa Chandler, was presented with a Patriot Award during a training conference in Chesapeake, Virginia recently. She was recognized for her exemplary support necessary for employees to meet the rigorous requirements of the citizen military member and Military OneSource state consultant. The award was presented by Walter Goodwyn, Tidewater, Virginia area chair, on behalf of Nebraska.

She was nominated for being highly supportive of Sgt. 1st Class Rebecca Wood, Kentucky Army National Guard, who stated Lisa is an excellent mentor and a passionate leader. Wood also noted Lisa is married to a Nebraska Guard soldier and totally understands the pressures of balancing work and family life.

“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to service members, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Paul Cohen, Nebraska Chair. “Supportive individuals are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units, and Mrs. Chandler is an example of what an employer should be to support their Guard and Reserve employees.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
