People Ready supervisor receives Department on Defense Patriot Award

FRESNO, Calif. – Loyd Stringer, a supervisor from People Ready was presented with a Patriot Award on June 16 by Jack Davidson, volunteer for the California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in recognition of extraordinary support of their employee.

Supervisor Loyd Stringer was nominated for being highly supportive of the California Army National Guard, by Pvt. Antonio Giron, his Reserve Component employee.

“My Supervisor understands the importance of my training and appreciates my skills and work ethic.  They are very cooperative when I have drill and understands the importance of my training,” said Giron.

The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.

“Supportive employers, like Supervisor Loyd Stringer, are vital to the success of our mission and the defense of this nation,” said James Combs, California ESGR state chair. “Our Guard and Reserve members could not perform their military duty without knowing their civilian employer supports them 100 percent.”

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
