OMAHA, Neb. –Noble Americas Senior Vice President Eric Fobes was presented with a Patriot Award March 6 by Gary Valasek and Lou Wagner, Nebraska Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve volunteers, in recognition of extraordinary support of his employee serving in the Guard and Reserve.
Fobes was nominated for being highly supportive of the U.S. Air Force Reserve by his Reserve Component employee, Capt. Kevin Egan, who is currently deployed.
Egan stated Fobes and the company have gone out of their way to communicate with him during his extended deployment, keeping him abreast of changes in the company as a result of a merger. He noted everyone is eagerly awaiting his return.
“The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them have answered their nation’s call to serve,” said Lou Wagner, Area Chair and ESGR volunteer, attending the presentation. “Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units, and it’s a pleasure to recognize Eric Fobes for his extraordinary support.”
ESGR, a Department of Defense program, seeks to foster a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
