Phoenix, Arizona - ESGR and the Phoenix Air National Guard (PANG) Patriots recently took 25 employers up on a KC-135 for a refueling demonstration. The KC-135 took off from the Air National Guard base early in the morning and met up with a C130 over Lake Havasu for refueling.
Employer Outreach is a key function of ESGR’s mission. Each year national and local level events are hosted across America by all 54 ESGR State Committees, including briefings with the boss, Bosslifts, Statement of Support (SoS) signings, trade shows, educational events, job fairs, and awards presentations. Through these events, staff and volunteers personally influenced more than 153,000 employers in fiscal year 2011 alone. On most BossLifts, employers are transported, via military aircraft or watercraft, to military facilities where they observe Guard and Reserve members on duty.
