Patriot Award Given to Performance Auto Supervisors

  • Patriot Award Given to Performance Auto Supervisors

Mr. James Campbell and Mr. James Tucker, Performance Auto of Lincoln, were honored with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award in a ceremony held at the dealership in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Both were nominated for this prestigious award by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Matthew Svoboda, a member of the Nebraska Army National Guard in recognition of their outstanding support to him, and others in uniform. In his nomination, Svoboda wrote: "...when I came home from my third deployment, I came home to no employment. When visiting with James and Jon, they created a full-time shop supervisor position for me at Performance Auto. They allow me to take time off for drills, schools, additional flight training, and state active duty missions with no questions asked. They have been nothing short of completely supportive."

Presenting the award was MG(Ret) Walt Zink, Nebraska Chair, who complimented the entire staff at Performance for their support and thanked them for taking care of "one of their own" while he served in uniform. BrigGen Daryl Bohac, Deputy Adjutant General, also thanked the award recipients as well as the entire company for their support and noted it was important for service members to have the backing of the company while they were serving, either overseas or at home.

Performance Auto also signed a Statement of Support for each of their 15 locations to publicly acknowledge their dedicated support to their Guard and Reserve employees.
