ESGR, a Department of Defense office, is comprised of dedicated and trained volunteers and staff. We will develop and promote employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and Service members.

ESGR informs and educates Service members and their civilian employers regarding their rights and responsibilities governed by the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). ESGR does not have statutory authority to enforce, but serves as a neutral, free resource to employers and service members. ESGR’s trained ombudsmen provide mediation of issues relating to compliance with USERRA.

ASHFORD, W.V. – West Virginia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program, announced that Principal Amy Pritt, Ashford-Rumble Elementary School in Ashford, was honored Oct. 20 with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of her employees serving in the Guard and Reserve.

September 08, 2016Century 21 Full Service Realty broker receives Department of Defense Patriot Award

JACKSON, Miss. – Jessi Jones, a Broker at Century 21 Full Service Realty was presented a Patriot Award Aug. 30 by West Virginia Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Chair Dan Lanier.

ESGR recognized her extraordinary support of an employee serving in the Army National Guard.  Jones was nominated for being highly supportive of the Army National Guard by her Reserve Component employee, Sgt. 1st Class Brian McCommon, a Realtor for Century 21 Full Service Realty.
