Welcome! Arizona Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (AZESGR) is a Department of Defense office dedicated to promoting a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees who also serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

AZ ESGR is led and operated by a staff of 63 volunteers and four full time staff working throughout the Grand Canyon State to gain and maintain employer support for the Guard and Reserve by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the Uniformed Services Employment Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), resolving conflicts through mediation, and connecting military service members and veterans with employment resources.

The AZ ESGR committee strives to uphold the “We all Serve” motto by creating and maintaining relationships with Arizona employers and service members through programs such as Military Outreach, Employer Outreach, Mediation, and Employment programs. Our mission is to assist both employers and reserve component members equally.

We welcome you to explore our website and invite you to contact us should you have any questions. Our volunteers come from all walks of life; therefore we welcome anyone interested in volunteering with the Arizona ESGR to contact us.

WASHINGTON (March 13) – Employers that support their military employees’ service make all the difference in the world.  That support can include paying an employee the difference between their military and civilian pay during a deployment, or even offering a full salary for the duration.  It can also be arranging for a US senator to be on hand for a farewell ceremony.  Some companies show their commitment by targeting military for hiring, while others set up military affinity groups to learn how to better serve their military employees.  Still others pitch in and simply make life easier for the families of deployed service members.
